The Indian Prairie Public Library at 401 Plainfield Road in Darien will play host to the dance band, “Confetti” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place outdoors, right outside the library’s entrance.
“This dance band is going to make everyone want to get up and dance,” said Laura Birmingham, assistant director of the library. “Confetti is the perfect choice for an outdoor, summer concert. They specialize in the kind of music that energizes the crowd – so call your friends, grab your chairs and a picnic dinner and join us for a great evening.”
The six-piece band performs everything from ’40s Swing and classic rock and roll to Disco, Motown and popular Top-40 dance hits. Their repertoire also includes country and contemporary pop, oldies and disco – with songs ranging from “Achy Breaky Heart” to “Zoot Suit Riot.”
