Darien police are investigating the death of a man near 67th Street and Cass Avenue after finding a body early Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Ernest Brown said a 911 call came in to police at 7:30 a.m. about a man lying on the ground near the border of Darien and Westmont.
The man was a white male, and police have a tentative identification but are waiting for the next of kin to positively identify the man before releasing any more information.
Brown said police are conducting a death investigation and wouldn't say whether any foul play is suspected.
"I don't want to go out on a limb," he said. "At this point we're conducting a death investigation, and until we have more details that's where we're at."
