Police Blotter: Drunken Driver Goes Off Road Into Gas Station

TUESDAY, OCT. 23
Car Accident Leads to Possession Citation
Kevin M. Coyne, 21, of the 1100 block of Beach Avenue in La Grange Park, was charged with possession of drug equipment. Police said Coyne was involved in a car accident at 75th and Plainfield, and when he went to get his insurance card in the glove box police spotted a glass pipe. Coyne was issued an ordinance citation and given a court date.
MONDAY, OCT. 22
Aggravated DUI
Alfredo Martinez, 28, of the 1300 block of Clement in Joliet, was charged with aggravated DUI after his car left the road and went into the Shell gas station parking lot in the 8900 block of Lemont Road.
Police said Martinez refused a Breathalyzer test and was "highly intoxicated and belligerent" with police and fire officials. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
SUNDAY, OCT. 21
Weed Possession
Stephanie E. Kayser, 23, of the 2200 block of Crabtree in Woodridge, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug possession at about 6:44 p.m. Police said Kayser was speeding and changing lanes improperly in the 700 block of Plainfield Road.
When Kayser exited her car, a glass pipe and a bag of marijuana was seen inside, police said. She was arrested and a court date is pending.
