Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Speeding

Darien police reports, Jan. 6-16.

 

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 16

Speeding

Little John Williams, 54, of the 300 block of Forest Court in Bolingbrook, was charged with speeding, driving with one headlight and driving with a suspended license and suspended plates. 

Police said he was driving with one headlight after 4 a.m. near 83rd Street and Lemont Road. He was arrested and given a court date in Downers Grove.

SUNDAY, JAN. 6

Retail Theft

Martha Gassman, 47, of the 7900 block of Janes Avenue in Woodridge, was charged with retail theft. Police said security at Walmart in the 2100 block of 75th Street observed Gassman putting items into her purse. 

The value of the items taken was $107.82, police said. Gassman was arrested and given a court date.
