I understand you are looking for individuals to select, and the Lemont Boys Soccer team has a number of highly skilled players to select from. However, soccer is the ultimate team sport where one player rarely determines the outcome of a match. The LHS soccer team is a pleasure to watch as they work extremely hard as individuals which in turn results into a cohesive unit and good/winning results. They choose to play a highly competitive schedule and have won 17 matches while doing so. Therefore, I would like to nominate the entire team for player of the week. Coach Prangen and his staff led the team to a dominating win in the Regional Finals and completely shut down Joliet Catholic in a 6-0 win. Today they go after win number 18 in the Sectional Semifinals and we wish them the best of luck.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Mike,

I'm not sure we can use the entire team as next week's nominee for Lemont, but we can certainly use one player. If you have any suggestions, please email our Athlete of the Week reporter, Brad Engel, at brad.engel@patch.com.

You can also email me at amanda@patch.com. Thanks!
