'Chile's 9/11' Focus of Library Lecture Wednesday
As the nation remembers Sept. 11, 2001, this week, the Woodridge Public Library will offer a glimpse into another 9/11: Chile's.

The library's description reads: "On September 11, 1973, General Augusto Pinochet toppled the democratically elected government of President Salvador Allende, uncle of author Isabel Allende. The coup began a 17-year dictatorship. Join librarian David Kohut and professor Olga Vilella, Ph.D. for a multimedia presentation on Chile's path from tragedy to triumph."
It goes from 7 p.m. to 8 :30 p.m. tonight, Sept. 11, at the Woodridge Public Library. Register for the event on the library's website.
