FEMA Assistance Application Deadline; Citizens Utility Board Meeting

Stuff that's happening in and around Darien.

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien today: 

·      July 24 (today!) is the deadline for applying for FEMA assistance for damages from the April and early May flooding and storms, residents can apply for help with “temporary rental assistance and other serious disaster-related expenses not met by insurance or other assistance programs.”

·      The Citizens Utility Board (“Fighting for Illinois Consumers since 1984”) will be holding a “Darien Utility & Phone Bill Clinic” at the Indian Prairie Library at 1:00 p.m. to discuss utilities, fees, etc. with Darien residents.

·      The classical-rock fusion band Classical Blast will be performing from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Westminster Park at 1320 Westminster Drive in Woodridge. The band is “dedicated to bringing the classical arts to mainstream rock & pop music.” The concert is free and all are welcome.
