Registration Now Open for Inaugural Darien Pet Parade

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Tuesday, Aug. 13.

·      Registration is open for the first ever annual Darien Pet Parade, a part of DarienFest! The parade is scheduled for the afternoon of Sept. 7 and participants must register by the end of August. Participants can register at the Darien Chamber of Commerce website.

·      The Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove, which serves Darien residents, has opened registration for fall programs and residents are invited to “a hotdog/hamburger, facility tour, program demonstrations, family fun and to meet our new Sports Director, Aaron Towler” at the End of Summer Bash starting at 5:30 p.m.

·      It’s CSI night at Darien District 61 schools from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. “At that time students and parents can see class lists, schedules, needed supplies, and other information for the upcoming school year.” More information is available on the D61 website.
