Taekwondo Class for Teens; Magnet Road Closures

Stuff that's happening in and around Darien.

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien today:

·      Karate kids—or taekwondo teens, rather. Teens can learn self-defense techniques from Sr. Master Barnum, 7th degree black belt, at the Indian Prairie Public Library. Class goes from at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a permission slip is required.

·      Road closures for the moving of the Fermilab electromagnet start on Tuesday night at 11 p.m. through Wednesday morning and include the area at and west of 87th Street and Lemont Road.

·      Tuesdays are $1 Taco Tuesdays at Q Bar & Grill in Darien, plus the billards hall hosts American Poolplayers Association tournaments starting at 7 p.m.; fill up on inexpensive bar snacks and watch some quality pocket billiards.
