Would You Want This Massage Parlor in Your Town?

A quick look at news happening throughout the suburbs in our Patch news network.

Today's look outside of Darien brings us to Minooka, where some residents are upset over a racy ad for a massage parlor promises "new feeling" and features scantily clad women.

The village inspected the massage parlor and didn't find anything illegal (it also had the proper licensing) but residents and that article raise the question over whether the advertisement violates state code.

For argument's sake, even if everything was above board, would you want a business distributing ads like that in your town? Here's what some Patch readers had to say:

Kia Pence: It looks like one of those massage parlors in the movies where they get busted for sleeping with the customers! It has STDs written all over it!!!

Sarah Pershey: I doubt any of the workers there look like those pictures...

Angie Regep-Weyker: Actually they r the girls I seen them smokin a cig in front of the laundromat.

Kirstin Rhoads: OMG! As a massage therapist that JUST opened a yoga and massage therapy studio here on Mondamin this TOTALLY outrages me! This needs to be looked into asap.....

Koreen Hamilton Kreiger: Are you kidding me, this gives all good licensed Massage Therapists like me a bad wrap. I spent alot of money on my education and years of experience to be a good MT. This should not be allowed!

Donald Ruphard: I'm going. Just because they pull their shirts down a bit for an ad, they are getting slandered. I bet I can find a million ads that do the same. I also assume that what you get in the ad is not actually what you get there. Hopefully there are happy endings though.

Bryan K. Caudill: Finally, Something Minooka can be proud of...NOT! lol
