In the spirit of the season, the DuPage Stars, the combined hockey club for Hinsdale and Downers South High Schools as well as Downers North High School, took a knee after a recent practice to show off some of the coats they managed to collect for this year's Winter Classic Coat Drive. The Chicago Hawks Hockey Club teamed up for the second season with Kids4Good/Good Worx Inc., to collect some much needed winter gear for area students. The DuPage Stars joined in the effort for this year's collection.
The Winter Classic Coat drive benefits a local NFP, Schools Count Corp., led by former teacher and soccer coach from Hinsdale Central, Dick Flesher. All of the coats and gear collected for this year's drive have already been distributed to students and their families in Chicago, Harvey and Washington, IL.
Good to see these boys celebrating what's really important this season!
