Bites Nearby: Catch 35

Naperville eatery reels in customers with first-class experience.

Dining at Catch 35 is a most memorable experience. In fact, the cuisine induces a long-lasting reverie, one that makes you eager to visit again.

Customers are initially welcomed to the restaurant by friendly staff. The rich golden hues of the décor and the artwork add to the warmth of the dining room which has a vibrant vibe.

The servers pay attention to detail, from being well-versed in their wine and martini offerings to their detailed, mouth-watering entrée descriptions which immediately cause inner chaos about which to choose.

And the same dilemma applies to the appetizers. For certain, the oysters are winners (and half off from 4-6 p.m.) but the sriracha buffalo shrimp and the yellowfin tuna sashimi are also excellent.

Presentation and innovation are key components of all dishes served during a Catch 35 dining experience. And as impossible as it might seem, the entrees taste even better than they look.

The Chilean sea bass with Hawaiian ginger scallion sauce and the stuffed Atlantic king salmon with blue crab, Maine shrimp and brie cheese are must-try seafood dishes.

And although seafood is the center of Catch 35, ordering from land instead is never disappointing. Just ask anyone who has tried the bone-in ribeye or the filet mignon medallions- prepared one of three tempting ways. (Blue cheese crusted with veal demi-glace is a memorable option.)

Of course, sides of creamed spinach and king crab mashed potatoes are also in order.

By the end of your meal, even though you’ll need your leftovers boxed and your belt loosened more than one notch, you will find yourself ordering dessert because surprise, surprise, they impress in this category as well.
