Darien Trash Collection Delayed 1 Day: City

Residents should leave their garbage, recycling and Christmas trees at the curb today, according to the City of Darien. Collectors will pick it up tomorrow.

Refuse and recycling collection has been delayed one day in the City of Darien due to the harsh winter weather.

Advanced Disposal is reportedly picking up garbage in the city Tuesday but only one truck was up and running, according to a city announcement.

Trash is expected to be picked up Wednesday and residents are advised to leave the full cans and Christmas trees at the curb.

Other pickups will be delayed on day this week, according to the City of Darien. Those with a normal pickup day of Friday will have their refused collected on Saturday.

Advanced Disposal can be reached at 708-409-9700.
