Holocaust Survivor Coming to Rotary Club Meeting

Walter Reed, a Holocaust survivor, will speak in Woodridge on Feb. 12 about his experiences in Germany.

Walter Reed, Holocaust survivor and Rotary Club member, will be speaking to the Woodridge Rotary Club about his experiences in Germany before during and after the Holocaust. 

He is a frequent speaker for the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Foundation.  The Wilmette Harbor Rotary Club, of which he has been a member for 22 years, has twice honored him as its Rotarian of the Year.

Interested guests are welcome to join club members for lunch and the presentation.

The lunch will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the Rotary Club of Woodridge 1 Mulligan Dr. It's free to attend. 

Rotary is an international, humanitarian service organization whose motto is "Service Above Self."  The Woodridge Club has been giving back to the local community since 1989.
