No School Again on Tuesday for Darien Students
The severe cold has prompted area school officials to cancel classes for a second day.
As we enter Day 2 of the Return of the Polar Vortex, area schools have doubled up on class cancellations.
The dangerously cold temperatures that froze the Chicago area Monday are expected to continue their chill on Tuesday. Officials across many area school districts told students to stay home.
With no break in the deep freeze forecast for Tuesday, school chiefs are again asking kids to not come to class.
The following school districts have canceled classes for Tuesday:
- District 61
- Hinsdale South High School
- District 99 (North High and South High)
- Cass District 63
