St. Charles ——A Wisconsin woman was driving a car stolen in Wheaton when it collided with a Maple Park man’s vehicle. Both were killed in the four-vehicle crash.

Downers Grove——Lombard resident Frank Alonso said his whiteface cockatiel, Tango, was found frozen and motionless at a nearby hotel after escaping his home Thanksgiving morning.

Oak Park/River Forest/Forest Park—Charges Brought Against Maywood Man in Attempted Child Abductions—Police have filed charges against Shawn Stubblefield, 48, of Maywood, who police said has a lengthy record.

Darien/Woodridge——The winner, who has yet to come forward, purchased their ticket at Grocer's Pantry.

Geneva—UPDATE: Judge Lets Mooseheart Basketball Players Compete—Until IHSA Hearing Monday—Mooseheart Child City gets a temporary restraining order following the IHSA ruling that makes four Sudanese students ineligible.

La Grange/La Grange Park/Western Springs—Lions Club Fundraising to Give Sight to Highlands Siblings—Brother and sister Patrick and Mirielle St. Arnaud have a rare congenital blindness disease, but, with proper funding, a new type of gene therapy could cure them.

Batavia—Man in Car vs Semi Crash Died at Hospital—Martin Baureis, 26, of Johnsburg, Ill., died at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. His car collided with a semi-tractor on Route 72.

Wheaton—Pedestrian Hit on Geneva Road in Critical Condition—A car hit a 52-year-old woman crossing Geneva Road around 3:30 p.m. Monday. She remains hospitalized and is in critical condition, police say.

Elmhurst—Man Pulls a Gun on Three People Walking in Wilder Park Tuesday—The victims said they think the gun might have been a toy.

Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills/Burr Ridge—Felony Charge for Man Who Police Say Stole Wallet from Hinsdale Car—Hinsdale Police say John D. Kimbrough entered an unoccupied car on North Street in October and used a credit card inside to pay for gas in Brookfield.

Glen Ellyn—Newton Avenue Fire Leaves Home Uninhabitable—Glen Ellyn Fire Officials responded to a fire Monday morning in the 200 block of Newton Avenue. Officials said family and friends were assisting the family.
