Andrew Salgado performing with Ides of March

On Saturday July 28, Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket in Willowbrook is celebrating 66 years in business and they are doing it in style, beginning at 5 p.m. with an acoustic concert featuring Darien singer/songwriter and recording artist, Andrew Salgado.

Andrew is a Darien native who is rapidly making his mark in the pop/country music arena. Working with Jim Peterik, legendary rock icon, and Frank Pappalardo, chief audio engineer for the WTTW music series Soundstage, Andrew has developed a unique style of singing and performing that entertains and engages his audiences.

He recently performed in Nashville and has been featured on ABC television and on the radio in Chicago, New York and L.A. He performs a combination of pop/country covers and his own original songs from his upcoming CD, It's love, it's fun it's true.

Andrew's show will be followed at 7 p.m. by the always crowd-pleasing Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik. The Ides never fail to put on an amazing show, performing hits like Vehicle, Hold on Loosely, The Search is Over and of course, Eye of the Tiger.

The all-ages show will take place outdoors, so bring a blanket or lawn chair and come out for the best chicken around -- and a fabulous combination of music that will have you tapping your feet, clapping your hands and singing along.
