Darien Smashburger Opening Wednesday

Who’s driven by the site for the new “better burger” Smashburger location at 2425 W. 75th and started salivating?
Well, the long awaited moment has arrived.
Darien residents can have their fill on Wednesday, enjoying a Windy City Angus Smashburger, complete with melted cheese, haystack onions, lettuce and tomato all on a delicious pretzel bun. Grab a side of rosemary and garlic savory Smashfries and wash it down with a root-beer float.

Of course there’s way more on the menu like Johnsonville Polish Sausage, Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs and Smashsalads.
“We’ve had overwhelming support from Illinois’ burger lovers,” says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. “We know the residents of Darien will embrace our fourth location as their new favorite place for lunch and dinner.”

Mayor Kathleen Weaver will attend a VIP preview party on Tuesday and will be the first ceremonial “smasher," christening the new grill that can hold up to 20 burgers.
Smashburger is holding a drawing for a chance to attend their Sneak Peak VIP event Tuesday evening. Winners will be able to bring up to three friends to the event.
