Why Go: ABC News editor Sebastian Junger was embedded for more than a year with a combat team in Afghanistan. This is definitely a chance to gain perspective and feel grateful for the work of our armed forces.

Why Go: This is a fun activity (totally, like, cosmic) to do with a group of friends. The band Tailspin plays in the bar from 9 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Pricing: $4.50 per game or $14 per person for as many games as you can play during cosmic bowl hours.
4) Kasmir—Zepplin Tribute Band
Where/When: 5157 Main St., Downers Grove, Saturday, 9 p.m.
Why Go: Ballydoyle provides an idyllic pub atmosphere to watch a band touted as the best Led Zepplin tribute band in the Chicago area.
Pricing: Free admission
5) Improv Unlimited Comedy Night
Where/When: The Normandy Room, 310 Butterfield Rd., Elmhurst, Saturday, 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Why Go: This Satire Night Live show supports the American Legion #187, so you can laugh and do a good deed at the same time.
Pricing: $20 general admission in advance
