Area restaurants and businesses host several auto nights this summer, with plenty of prizes to give away to car enthusiasts.

WHAT: Head on over to the Long John Silver/A&W Restaurant off Route 53 to see a car show you'll surely enjoy. Prizes and trophies are awarded to the top entries and goers will enjoy music from DJ Better Than a Jukebox. And of course, you'll also be in for some great root beer.

SUMMER'S LAST BLAST: NINTH ANNUAL CAR SHOW
WHAT: Bolingbrook's Park District ends summer with its ninth annual Car Show, which also features plenty of activities, including swimming, inflatables, games and fireworks at dusk. Plus, food vendors and door prizes keep visitors entertained. Entrants can also hope to win the first or second place trophies for each of the 13 divisions, or aim for the first place overall trophy and People's Choice trophy.

WHAT: Considered best car shows in the area, the Lemont Legends Cruise Nights attracts large crowds every week to downtown Lemont, where participating entrants hope to win one of three Cool Car Trophies awarded each week.
