News from the Darien Chamber of Commerce

The Darien Dash 10K Run, 5K Run and 1 mile Walk Run will be held on Sunday, May 15th at Darien Community Park. Once again the Chamber is offering prize incentive to local schools. Four monetary prizes will be awarded to the qualifying schools! 

1st Prize is $1000, 2nd Prize is $600, 3rd Prize is  $400 and the local youth organization will be awarded $500.  Local schools and organizations will be eligible for prizes, based upon participation from students and relatives/friends of students.  Each person may affiliate with one school and organization.  There is a minimum of 35 participants to be eligible for school prizes and organization prize.  The Indian Prairie Library in conjunction with the Darien Chamber of Commerce  invites Chamber Business owners to offer a special discount, giveaway or reward for customers who show them their Indian Prairie Public Library card for the month of September.

The Library will promote your business in their newsletter which goes to 25,000 homes,  in the library which gets more than 1,000 visitors a day on their web site which gets 22,000 hits each month and in a specially designed brochure, plus they’ll supply you with  a laminated flyer you can display in your business, they’ll send out a  press releases to the local papers and they’ll post the information on local online news outlets. Darien Chamber Member, Chicago Rush Arena Football is hosting City of Darien Community Day  at the Allstate Arena on May 22 at 3pm.  Darien residents will receive discounted tickets for the game.  Make sure to arrive early at 2pm when the gates open for a Chicago Rush team poster giveaway.  Stay after the game and go on the field for post-game autographs.  Forms are available on the Darien Chamber website at www.darienchamber.com.  For more information call Mark Serrao at 855.787.4946.  Let’s get the entire City of Darien to fill up the Allstate Arena and cheer on the Chicago Rush Arena Football Team!

 Spring is here which means golf season is in full swing!  The Darien, Westmont and Woodridge Chambers invite you to the Community Golf Classic.  This event will be held on June 22 at Carriage Greens County Club in Darien.  Everyone in Darien is invited to participate, we are expecting a sell out event.  The event includes, four person scramble, lunch, putting contest, hole-in-one wins a car, contest on the course, goody bags, raffles, dinner buffet and two hour open bar.  Register today at www.darienchamber.com.
