Concord Parent Shares Famous Uncle's Paintings

Concord Elementary School parent Mr. Wilcox, who is father to Annie, A.G. and Gracie, recently visited the school to share some beautiful paintings with several classes in art teacher, Mrs. Brncich’s room. The pieces of art were painted by his uncle, Armando Villegas, who recently passed away. Mr. Villegas was a Peruvian-born artist who lived much of his life in Columbia, and is considered a famous South American artist. Mr. Wilcox shared some information about his uncle’s life and his process of creating art. In addition, he brought many different original pieces of Mr. Villegas’ art for the students to admire and enjoy. We are very thankful to Mr. Wilcox for taking the time out to share his memories as well as the beautiful artwork.
