Best of Craigslist: Accidental Rooster, Papier-Mâché Ganesha

Well, someone goofed when sexing the chicks, and this Wheaton seller who ordered 25 hens ended up with 24 hens and a big ol' rooster. Even towns that allow chickens tend not be down with the males (read: unwanted alarm clocks), but if you can work around that, for just $5 you could give this guy a home. Or just score some quite inexpensive DIY chicken wings, I suppose.
Even if you know nothing about Hindu deities, you probably recognize Lord Ganesha: he's the guy with the elephant head, revered as the Remover of Obstacles. When this remarkably detailed papier-mâché statue from India arrived with a problem—its arm broke off—a Woodridge seller removed that obstacle with glue. Way to take a cue from the pachyderm god! The damage isn't noticeable and the statue is just $5.
Honestly, I have a lot of trouble seeing this Darien seller's sculpture on a stand as anything besides, well, an enormous baked potato. But, no, apparently it is "pod art," and would be "perfect for a decorative room!" Or perhaps for an Irish history exhibit, or Idaho museum... all right, all right. The big pod, whatever it really is, is available for $250.
How perfectly appropriate: battle the dark night with the Dark Knight! This 1992 Caped Crusader plugs in and lights up to chase away kids' night terrors, and will watch over your little ones' rest in a glowing vigil. "What child, or adult for that matter, wouldn't want this great light hanging in their room?" writes the Elmhurst seller, who's letting Bats go for $15.
It might look like a bunch of ugly painting tarps in a big pile, but no: this is actually just what happens when you let all the air out of the obstacles on a speedball (paintball) field. With a little air and a little repair, these can become your very own operating field once again. They're for sale out of Darien for $500.
... I'm no expert on women's underwear, but I'm fairly sure that most ladies prefer not to buy single, loose panties from some dude on the Internet named Yifan. But, uh, if that's your thing, they're $5 out of Naperville, and... more power to you, girl?
