Health Department Launches Food Recall Tool

The new tool on the DCHD website offers DuPage County residents a single resource for food recall notices.

The DuPage County Health Department has added a new tool to its website that makes it easier for county residents to find out the latest information on food recalls, either locally or elsewhere in Illinois or the nation.

This website feature allows visitors to get up-to-date information on food recall notices.

"Food recalls occur frequently at the local, regional and national levels, depending on products, brands and manufacturers involved ... There are a number of federal agencies that issue food recall notices and manufacturers often issue their own food recall notices. The website feature on our website is a good, single source for food recall notices, although food recalls may be issued by other sources," said the DuPage County Health Department in a media announcement about the addition.
