Orange Adorns Local Landmarks to Support Injured Boy's Recovery

From Lakeview Junior High to the Darien Police Department, community members are showing their thoughts are with the eighth-grader injured in a Feb. 26 car accident.

Bursts of orange have popped up throughout Darien, Woodridge and Downers Grove over the past week.

With vinyl tablecloths and plastic cups, friends and family of a eighth-grader have ensured that all who know Hunter keep him at the forefront of their minds.

The Downers Grove boy is recovering from critical injuries sustained when he was struck by a car making a right turn at the intersection of Beller and Lemont Road in Darien. Hunter remains at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The hospital is not releasing any further information about his condition.

Fr. Gavin Quinn urged those at to laugh together and share stories of Hunter to help bring themselves some solace throughout his recovery.
