Patch Honors Veterans through New Partnership

In recognition of Veteran's Day, Patch proudly announces a partnership with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Darien's stepping up to honor our Veteran's today with a number of . I just got back from , where 10 members of VFW Post 2838 participated in an assembly that taught students first hand what it's like on the front lines. The school arranged a satellite chat with an active serviceman in Afghanistan whose family lives in Darien (more on that later today).

But recognition of our troops shouldn't be just a once yearly event. Patch is proud today to announce a partnership with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a charity that provides financial, rehabilitation and transitional services to members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.

Established in 2000, the fund originally provided financial support to the dependents of service members who lost their lives while serving the nation. Since then, the fund has expanded its support of veterans by building state of the art centers for rehabilitating wounded warriors and service members suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.
