WHEATON—Fatal Crash Victim Identified as WWS Senior Stephanie Pickett—Stephanie Pickett, an 18-year-old senior at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, died after a rollover crash in unincorporated Wheaton Thursday night. The driver, Karlos Leath, is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI.

DARIENShooter Says Johnny Borizov Orchestrated Darien Family KillingsJacob Nodarse said he was instructed by Johnny Borizov to kill Borizov's ex-girlfriend and her family in 2010. He began his first day of testimony on Thursday.

WOODRIDGE—Woodridge Bones Identified as Missing Lisle Man—Anthony Scott Arcaro was reported missing from Lisle in 2007, at the age of 37; his bones were found by two children in Woodridge in March.

BURR RIDGE—Accused Killer’s Mom Goes to Prison for Hiding Son’s Gun—Elva Hernandez pleaded guilty to helping her son, Juan Cuellar, dispose of his gun after Cuellar allegedly shot to death Hinsdale South graduate Joshua Holmes last fall.

LEMONT—Lemont High School to ‘Walk with Andrew’ to Support Injured Student—Students and staff will participate in a 5K on Sunday to benefit sophomore Andrew Podczerwinski, who was left paralyzed from the waist down after a tragic accident last summer.

WESTMONT——The March 7 train-on-pedestrian incident that killed Hickory Hills resident Eric Bennett near the Cass Avenue station has been ruled accidental in nature by the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.

LA GRANGE PARK—School Safety Expert Briefs Local Districts in Crisis Prevention—School administrators and law enforcement personnel from suburbs throughout the area gathered at Plymouth Place Thursday for a seminar by safety consultant Kenneth Trump. 

LA GRANGE—La Grange Teens Sell Shoelaces to Benefit Boston Marathon Victims—"I just hope that the people in Boston know the whole running community cares about them," Lyons Township senior Alexus Serrano said.

WESTERN SPRINGS—Police Union May Sue over New Position—The union representing the Western Springs Police Department feels an action being considered by the village would be unfair to current patrol officers. 

NAPERVILLE—Hundreds of Naperville Locals Run for Boston Marathon Victims—Naperville's running community came together for a solidarty run in the heart of the city Monday evening to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

OAK PARK—New Village President’s Liquor License Focus of State Legislation—Anan Abu-Taleb has a liquor license for his restaurant, Maya del Sol, but the law prevents him from holding it while he serves as Oak Park's village president. So Sen. Don Harmon of Oak Park is pushing an amendment.

ST. CHARLES—2 Charged in St. Charles Parking Lot Beating—Police said the altercation began in a fast-food drive-through lane and ended in the beating in another St. Charles restaurant’s parking lot across the street.

ELMHURST—Roxy the Wonderdog is Home—The shy cockapoo made it home even after two weeks, torrential downpours and temperature extremes.

DOWNERS GROVE—U.S. News: Downers Grove High Schools Rank Among Best in State—Downers Grove North ranked 36th out of 667 Illinois high schools, while South High placed 52nd, according to the annual list published by U.S. News and World Report.
