Places You Can't Go on Memorial Day
Because they're closed! But there are some great alternatives.
The following will be closed on Memorial Day:
- All schools serving Darien students
- Post offices
Garbage pickup will be delayed one day.
Luckily, there are all sorts of great places to go to instead, like one of the VFW's Memorial Day Ceremonies.

Post 2838 will be hosting one ceremony at 9 a.m. at with members of neighboring VFWs. There will be a second ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Peace Memorial in .
After that, pack up a picnic and head to one of Darien's parks to enjoy the (predicted) sun and balmy temperatures.
