The Party's Over: Winter Weather Heads Our Way

The area could see four to eight inches of snow by Friday morning, the National Weather Service reports.

We knew it couldn't last forever, but   will officially take a turn for the rougher by tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the whole Chicago area starting 9 a.m. Thursday.

Your morning commute should be typical, but heavy snow is expected to begin shortly thereafter and continue through Friday morning. By the end, the area could see snow accumulations of four to eight inches.

Winds of 15-25 mph will cause snow to drift and could create limited visibility, the NWS said. Wind chills could fall to near zero.
