This Week: Council to Vote on Water Bill Changes for Unincorporated Darien; District 63 Discusses Strategic Plan

Wavering water bill: The will consider an ordinance Monday that lowers the cost of water for people living in unincorporated Darien to $5.88 per 1,000 gallons from $6.74 cents per 1,000 gallons. The ordinance also proposes tacking a $6 surcharge onto unincorporated residents’ water bills. That would replace the $5 surcharge currently on the bill, which is the same as what residents within corporate boundaries pay.

Strategic plan: will hold a workshop prior to Tuesday’s school board meeting to discuss the . The board said at its September meeting that it would develop a document that outlines focus areas for the district that it would then present to the public.
