ASSISTANT NEEDED for a busy after-school learning center Mondays and Thursdays
4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.



Candidates must enjoy children!

The environment is fast-paced and a strong work ethic with adherence to
excellence in details is required. Candidates over the age of 18 must pass a
background check.



Duties involve greeting arriving students, answering questions related to
assignments, coaching students to think for themselves, grading class work and
reporting any problems observed to the Instructor, maintaining a quiet and
focused learning environment (i.e., no idle chit-chat), maintaining a
supportive atmosphere for the students, assisting parents should they have
questions, filing and organizing worksheets, adjusting homework assignments
when needed, and preparing student files for the next class.



Starting pay ranges from $___________ per hour, depending on position and
qualifications, with raises when work performance merits.



Kumon is an after-school math and reading program founded in Japan in 1958. The enthusiastic
candidate will learn the background of the learning method at www.kumon.com. To
