Back to School

Students were back to school this week at Eisenhower Jr. High School, and their excitement was as high as the temperatures outside.  In-coming 8th Graders Kevin Lara, Deonte Davenport, and LaQuette Reed, stated that they were glad to see their friends and teachers again, and were all hoping to make this year’s football team.  Kevin was also very excited to see Ms. Filip again.

The Cross Country team also began practice this week, and new 6th Grade runners were happy to share their first-week experience.  Agne Giedraityte listed her Family & Consumer Sciences class and Mrs. Alessi’s Reading class as her favorite part of the new school year, and Adam Krupa agreed that Mrs. Alessi’s class was the best so far.  He was also looking forward to Track Season.

Next Tuesday morning, students will enjoy a PBIS kick-off assembly to learn and review the “General Way” of being Responsible, Respectful and Safe.  If you are going to Darien Fest next week, make sure to stop by Opening Ceremonies to hear the EJH Marching Band!
