EJH Cross Country Runner Off to a Fast Start

Eisenhower 8th Grade Cross Country Runner Brett Haffner is off to a fast start this season, placing first overall in the first three meets of the season.

Brett has already seen his time improve by :12 seconds since his season opening win at the Connely-Polka St. Ignatius Invitational.

Brett credits his fast start to the his summer training program with the Chicago Flyers, the EJH Summer Camp and his competition at the National Junior Olympic Games, where he finished 24th overall in the United States.

Brett's goal this year is to have him and the rest of his teammates earn a trip to this year's IESA State Meet.  Current EJH Top-5 Varsity Runner's Jr. Rickert, Sam Hanson, Will Hogan and Trevor Lehmann are working hard to join him.

The EJH Varsity Cross Country team competes at the Old Quarry Invitational tomorrow in Lemont.  Good Luck Generals!
