EJH Students Take a Stand Against Bullying

A "Sea of Orange" could be seen in the hallways of EJH this morning, as students wore the bright color to show that they care about students who are bullied and want bullying to end.

Unity Day, an event sponsored by the National Bullying Prevention Center, was organized at EJH by the school's Elite Club.  The Elite Club is a student group who seeks to maintain a positive student school climate.

In addition to asking students and staff to wear orange, the Elite Club posted banners in each hallway for students to sign as part of a pledge to take a stand against bullying.

8th Grade Student Jennalyn Mendiola, when asked to comment about the importance of taking that pledge, responded, "We call it Unity Day, because unity starts with YOU."
