Darien District 61 Educational Foundation's 2nd Annual Community Awareness Week

Darien District 61 Educational Foundation is holding its second annual community awareness campaign March 13-19, celebrating its accomplishments during the past year to help support educational excellence.

Among the milestones, the Foundation awarded its first educational grants last summer to three District 61 teachers. And this past December it established the Maureen Kelly Memorial Fund for Students, to honor the memory of Miss Kelly, longtime teacher and principal at Mark DeLay School in Darien, who passed away in November. The fund will help continue her life's work--helping children to have the best educational experience possible.
