OLP 7th Grade Girls Cross Country Team Wins Division 2 years in a Row

The 7th grade girls cross country team at Our Lady of Peace School in Darien won their division by taking first place at the 2013 Suburban Parochial League Championship Meet, making it two years in a row for this extraordinary girls’ team.  Team members include Abigail Valliere, Sarah Reilly, Megan Mihalkanin, Juliana Gutierrez and Emeri Sana. According to their coach, Angel Arflack, a personal trainer and school parent, their infectious energy and positive outlook enabled them to secure this title again while encouraging their teammates to keep improving week after week. The OLP Pastor, Principal and School Board presented the team with their championship plaque at the October school board meeting.
