KA to Celebrate National School Choice Week with Special Event
Kingswood Academy participates in nation’s largest-ever celebration of educational opportunity

Darien – Kingswood Academy will hold a week long special event starting on Monday, January 27, 2014 to celebrate National School Choice Week, school leaders announced today.
The event will feature a week full of activities to celebrate National School Choice Week and Catholic Schools Week; out uniform days, school trivia games, special school Masses, a poster contest, an ice cream social and much more . The event will be held at the school.
Kingswood Academy is a private school serving grades PK-8, with a student enrollment of 130.
KA is one of 5,000 schools participating in National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2014). The goal of the Week is to shine a positive spotlight on all types of education options for children – from traditional public schools to public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning and homeschooling.
“We are excited to have KA participate in National School Choice Week with this special event,” said Andrew Campanella, National School Choice Week president. “It is because of great events like this that National School Choice Week, in Illinois and across the country, will break records as the largest and most influential celebration of educational opportunity in American history.
