The Educational Trinity
Let Us Talk Education holds this position. Every attendance center has the mandate to accept every student at their current academic level, regardless of how they arrived at that level, and move all students toward their academic potential. Because there are specific K-5 windows of educational opportunity that must be exploited, the parents cannot expect their attendance center to be all things to all students. Therefore, LUTE has identified the specific combination of parental/attendance center resolutions that have proven most effective in moving all students forward.
Over the course of this blog, LUTE will identify: the primary and secondary initial causal factors for each student’s academic progress, the primary and secondary factors that retard (to slow up by preventing or hindering advancement or accomplishment) most student growth, and give the specific RX for parental & attendance center resolutions to the identified academic issues.
LUTE will pick the low hanging fruit first. If the child is one of the best and brightest, they have very hungry minds and need to be presented the next level of skills at 10-15% over their current level and 5% below their frustration level in specific, not all, academic disciplines. On the south side of the tree, we find significant levels of missing skills and need to identify the specific 10-15% range for each student to move forward. The remaining students have varied specific skill weaknesses that just need to be identified and strengthened. jhenry
