Mark DeLayʼs McTeacher Night a Success!

Mark DeLayʼs McTeacher Night a Success!

DeLayʼs McTeacher Night had everything! Supportive families? Check. Fun- loving teachers? Check. A helpful McDonaldʼs staff? Check. Ronald McDonald in person? Double Check! The first annual DeLay McTeacher Night, held on Monday, March 18, 2013, was a roaring success. A portion of the money earned by McDonaldʼs, during the allotted timeframe of 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., will go directly to Mark DeLay School to add technology to our library, namely a SMARTBoard and Projector. A big thank you to ALL of the families who came to support this worthwhile event. It was a fun, family night out that directly helped their children's school. If you are still interested in donating towards the SMARTBoard and projector, please send donations to DeLay/ Lace PTA and add “DeLay library SMARTBoard” in the memo. The support of the parents is always appreciated!
The teachers got to do jobs ranging from making shamrock shakes to clearing and wiping tables to greeting families at the door. It was a team effort as everyone pitched in wherever help was needed. There were “hoots and hollas” as patrons put money in the tip jars too. The children got to have their face painted by teachers and take their picture with THE Ronald McDonald. It was a perfect evening capped off with a Coke and a smile :)
