Darien Woman’s Club Creative Youth Art & Poetry Fair this Sunday at Eisenhower Jr. High

Creativity & talents of local area youth will be on display February 24

Original artwork created by local youth, ages 4 through 12th grade, will be on display at this year's annual Creative Youth Art & Poetry Fair, which is sponsored by the Darien Woman's Club Charity Fund, Inc.  Entries include paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography—in six media categories, plus poetry. The fair will be held Sunday, February 24 from 2:00–3:30pm at Eisenhower Junior High School, 1410 75th Street, in Darien. An independent panel of judges will evaluate each piece; prizes and awards will be presented at 3:15pm.

In addition, artwork/poetry division winners will also be displayed at the Indian Prairie Public Library in March.

Hi lpwagener, as you can see, we've been undergoing a few changes here this week and we're reallyRead More hoping residents will make use of our new Boards--like these--to help make sure anything we miss makes it to the site. Thanks for contributing; we'd love to hear if you have a story from the storm, or even if you just want to vent about nine-hour power outages (which sound terrible; I'm quite sorry.) Thanks!!
