Funeral Services Set for Darien Man Killed in Crash Near Palos

The man was a passenger in a car involved in an early-morning collision Saturday outside Palos Hills.

Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Ryan G. Osowski, 28, the Darien man who died Saturday after around 95th Street and South La Grange Road near Palos Hills.

The visitation is scheduled for 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Zarzycki Manor Chapels, 8999 S. Archer Ave. in Willow Springs. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, also at Zarzycki, and will be followed at 10 a.m. with a mass of Christian burial at St. Fabian Church, 8300 Thomas Avenue in Bridgeview.

Osowski was the son of Judy (Stefanski), Kenneth Osowski and Mark Feil. He is also survived by three siblings, Robert Osowski and Jenna and Breann Feil; grandparents Gene and Helen Osowski; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Osowski died after the car he was riding in collided with another car in a forest preserve area outside Palos Hills, according to a Cook County Sherriff’s Office release. Two other passengers, as well as the driver of the other car, were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with critical injuries.

Police charged the driver of the car in which Osowski was riding, Sam Cafi, with eight counts of felony driving under the influence. Cafi, 28, of the 8300 block of South 79th Street in Justice, is scheduled to appear in court April 2.
