I urge Darien residents who are concerned about their 2nd Amendment rights to "Keep and bear arms" to contact Darien leadership to voice their concern and to attend the July 15th meeting in person.  Phone numbers and email addresses are available at: http://www.darien.il.us/Government/ElectedOfficials.html

Current Illinois law requires a FOID card to purchase, own, or use a firearm or ammunition.  FOID cards are issued through the Illinois State Police.

I urge citizens not to be swayed by what is incorrectly being portrayed by the media as increasingly-frequent, rampant acts of violence being committed by isolated, mentally ill individuals who do not represent the 99.9% of law-abiding American citizens who enjoy shooting sports.
