Tri-State Fire District will be naming a new chief

Special board meeting tomorrow night. Long  time fire chief will announce her retirement. Her civil union partner will reveal her golden parachute . Must be finally feeling the pressure from numerous Better Government Association   Reports, and her spouse is up for reelection in April. I'm guess 140 k a year for the rest of her life with full insurance. The currently deputy chief will appointed chief,  to raise his salary so he will max out his pay before he retires. It sure pays to have your spouse on the board .
