Crime Map: Two Sheds Targeted, Window Smashed

Shed burglary

A construction damper, two men’s mountain bikes, six patio seat cushions, a power washer, a snow blower, a 20-foot ladder and a 6-foot ladder were taken from a locked storage shed in the backyard of a home on the 3400 block of Gilbert Court, . The items were taken sometime between 5:45 a.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday and were worth about $2,850.

Attempted burglary

An attempted burglar cut the lock and damaged the latch on another shed on the 3400 block of Gilbert Court sometime between 1:30 p.m. Nov. 26 and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. The incident caused about $80 in damage.

Car window broken

The passenger side window of a car parked in a driveway on the 7300 block of Exner was shattered with a rock overnight Sunday, police said.

Lights dimmed

Two light-sensing lights were taken from a home on the 7700 block of Wakefield around 5:30 p.m., police said. The lights were worth about $20.

Around the same time, vandals damaged Christmas lights on a home on the 2400 block of Marlborough around 5:30 p.m., police said. The lights were worth about $10.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

Screens slashed

Vandals cut five out of 17 screens on a screened-in porch on the back of a home on the 7200 block of Tennessee, police said. The incident happened sometime between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 29 and caused about $200 in damage. 

Laptop stolen from storage locker

A Compaq laptop was taken from a storage locker at Public Storage on North Frontage Road around 8:30 p.m., police said. The laptop was worth about $675.
