Darien Police Nab Four in Prostitution Sting

Officers met people at a Darien apartment complex who had placed ads on escort websites. Two men and two women were charged with misdemeanor prostitution, police said.

Darien police charged four people — including two men who portrayed themselves as women — in connection with a Nov. 9 prostitution sting that targeted online escort services.

Undercover officers from the solicited the services of people who placed ads on websites, including Backpage.com, EROS Escort Service and RoomService 2000. Officers then met those people at a Darien apartment complex.

Charlie Patterson, 19, and James Andrew, 27, both of the 7700 block of South Shore Drive in Chicago, are men but advertised themselves online as female prostitutes, police said.

Also arrested were Antoinette Pearson, 28, of the 8100 block of West Thurston in Milwaukee, and Rachelle M. Nilges, 23, of the 20800 block of Sparta Lane in Olympia Fields, according to officers.

All four were charged with misdemeanor prostitution, police said.

The operation was conducted independently of a national prostitution sting that took place between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6.
