Darien Triple Murder Case Continued to July

Attorney for suspect Johnny Borizov plans to subpeona medical records of Jacob Nodarse.

The attorney for triple-murder suspect Johnny Borizov is requesting the medical records of co-defendant, Jacob Nodarse, to support their defense that Nodarse might have acted on his own because of psychological issues.

“Our position is Johnny Borizov had nothing to do with Mr. Nodarse doing what he did,” Borizov attorney Richard Kling said during a hearing Friday.

Borizov and Nodarse are each charged with multiple counts of murder in the deaths of Michael, Jeffrey and Lori Kramer in a scheme to kill Angela Kramer, the mother of Borizov's son. Prosecutors allege Nodarse fired the fatal shots.

Kling plans to subpeona Nodarse’s mental health records.

He said police reports indicated Nodarse had previously been under psychological care, but that medical records do not indicate that.

Circuit Judge Daniel Guerin denied Kling’s request to review Nodarse’s school records from Westmont High School for possible behavioral problems.

Guerin said after reviewing the records, they have no material relevance to the case.

returns to court July 11 for another hearing in the case.
