Drug Equipment Ticket at Hinsdale South, DUI for Darien Driver: Blotter

Darien police reports, Jan. 9-18.

SATURDAY, JAN. 18

  • Christopher Jimenez, 18, of the 7500 block of Farmingdale, was charged with battery and resisting arrest after he was arrested at Subway, 737 Plainfield Road. Jimenez was processed and released with a court date of Feb. 19 in Wheaton.
  • Four windows were broken on a vehicle parked in the parking lot in the 1100 block of Plainfield Rd.

FRIDAY, JAN. 17

  • A juvenile was cited on a local ordinance for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th
  • Leo Magana, 29, of the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr., Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft after he was arrested at Walmart, 2189 75th. Magana was processed and released with a court date of March 4.
  • Gabriela Zambrano-Tapia, 34, of the 6100 block of South Kedvale, Chicago, was charged with driving without a license and for driving with suspended registration for mandatory insurance violation after she was arrested near Cass Ave and North Frontage. Zambrano-Tapia was processed and released.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 15

  • A juvenile was cited on a local ordinance for possessing drug equipment at Hinsdale South High School, 7401 Clarendon Hills Rd.
  • Andrea Macon, 20, of the 7300 block of South Richmond, Chicago, was charged with driving without insurance, driving without a license and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash after she was arrested near Plainfield and High. Macon was processed and released with a court date of February 20 in Downers Grove.

TUESDAY, JAN. 14

  • Toni Cole, 29, of the 1600 block of South Sixth Avenue, Maywood, was cited on a local ordinance for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th St.
  • Kyle Sitarz, 28, of the 100 block of Pacific, Bolingbrook, was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended/revoked license after he was arrested in the 2400 block of Oldfield Road. Sitarz was processed and released with a court date of Feb. 27 in Downers Grove.

MONDAY, JAN. 13

  • Several items were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway in the 3100 block of Pitcher Road.
  • A UPS package was taken from a porch in the 1900 block of Center Circle.

SUNDAY, JAN. 12

  • Pedro Balderas, 37, of the 1600 block of Royal Oak Drive, Darien, was charged with driving under the influence, driving in the wrong lane, driving with an expired registration and illegal use of registration after he was arrested in the 1100 block of North Frontage Road. Balderas was processed and released with a court date of Feb. 19 in Wheaton.

SATURDAY, JAN. 11

  • A wallet was taken from a shopping cart at Walmart, 2189 75th.
  • A vehicle was keyed while parked in the parking lot of 1100 block of Plainfield Road.

FRIDAY, JAN. 10

  • An attempted burglary to motor vehicle took place in the 1100 block of Bristlecone. An unlocked car was entered while parked in the parking spaces near the residence.
  • Marco Martinez, 31, of the 1400 block of Sterling Avenue, Joliet, was charged with driving with no headlights and driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license after he was arrested in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue. Martinez was processed and released with a court date of Feb. 27 in Downers Grove.

THURSDAY, JAN. 9

  • Several car batteries were taken from a storage container at Walmart, 2189 75th
  • A window was shattered on a vehicle that was locked and parked in the driveway in the 1100 block of Timber and a purse was taken along with several shopping bags.
  • Evelyn Vega, 28, of the 7400 block of Woodward Ave, Woodridge, was cited on local ordinance for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th.
  • A window was shattered at a residence in the 6600 block of Ridge.
