But as the officer got out of his car, Chlada accelerated and drove another five blocks, police said.
Chlada then pulled over again, this time staying put for the police, the report said.

She told police she knew she had veered into oncoming traffic but she didn’t think the officer was actually stopping her the first time, police said.
Officers reported that Chlada had red glassy eyes and her breath smelled of alcohol. A Breathalyzer test recorded her alcohol levels at more than twice the legal limit. Police found an open bottle of alcohol in the car, according to the report.
Chlada was charged with two counts of DUI (one for physical control and one for alcohol levels higher than .08), illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, according to the report.
Police gave her an Aug. 2 court date.
