More people in Evergreen Park NEED to be aware heroin is NOT a new "problem" here. Evergreen Park Police needs to have a heroin task force and start investigating. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! Pay attention to what is happening in your own community, I have and I'm now aware of the things that go on. I don't have solid proof but it's out there. IF I had the proof I would go to the police in a heartbeat!! Police can get the proof IF they investigate! After reading the story of another heroin user being caught at a gas station, I cannot just sit here and stay quiet, Awareness... where do we start?

Thanks for the comment, Mike. It is a very serious issue. Heroin has been growing in popularity among young people across the suburbs. I know from past stories I have written and read that there have been a number of overdoses in Palos and Orland this year. I am sure that's the case in many suburbs.
