TUESDAY, OCT. 8  

Car Burglary

Several items were taken from an unlocked car parked in the 7800 block of Mayfair. The items were later recovered by a neighbor.

Retail Theft

Darryl Terry, 48, of the 7300 block of Winthrop Way in Downers Grove, was cited under local ordinance for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th St. in Darien. Terry was released with a court date.

Hit and Run

Donald Demetry, 29, of the 6700 block of Route 83 in Darien, was charged with a hit and run, driving without insurance, failure to yield and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released and given a court date.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 9

Car Burglary

Several items were taken from an unlocked car parked in the 700 block of Somerset. They were later recovered on an adjacent street.  

Retail Theft

Gabriela Bergeron, 20 of the 5500 block of S. Madison in Hinsdale, was cited under local ordinance for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th St. She was released and given a court date.

FRIDAY, OCT. 11

Property Damage

Someone shattered a window of a car parked in the 8100 block of Farmingdale.
